Glen Golf Park Grand Reopening Celebration Set for July 10

We're celebrating the reopening of The Glen Golf Park with a Sunday afternoon of family fun!

The community is invited to join Madison Parks and Madison Parks Foundation at The Glen for the Grand Reopening Celebration. 

Date: Sunday, July 10, 2022 (rain date: Sunday, July 17)

Location: The Glen Golf Park, 3747 Speedway Road

Time: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

The Glen Golf Park, known since 1927 as Glenway Golf Course was reimagined and renovated to create a unique mixed-use outdoor recreation golf park.  Through the ongoing partnership with the Madison Parks Foundation, along with the shared vision and generous financial and in-kind contributions of many community members, the golf park offers a dynamic blend of programmed activities.

The redesigned 9-hole golf course is suitable for first-timers and long-time golfers alike.  The updated patio area is a fully accessible gathering space. The Glen House, formerly known as the clubhouse is currently under renovation to provide accessible restrooms and service window along with overall improved guest experiences and expanded merchandise options.

A variety of community events and activities will be offered throughout the summer, including a movie series and a performing arts series sponsored by Madison Parks Foundation featuring a variety of local live musicians, in addition to a cultural exhibition by The Ho-Chunk Nation and introductory fitness activities.

• Self-guided tour of the golf park
• Putting contest
• Kite flying provided by Wisconsin Kiters Club
• Short game (golf) provided by First Tee
• Food available for purchase by Carts in Parks

EVENT PARKING - Limited onsite parking is available during the Grand Reopening Celebration. Nearby street parking is available across Speedway, Glenway Ave., Mineral Point Rd. and surrounding neighborhood streets.

PLAYING THE COURSE - The redesigned 9-hole course opens for play, walking only, starting Friday, July 1. The Glen House is closed while renovations are completed. A temporary onsite kiosk is available for check-in. Tee times may be made online or by calling one of the other three City of Madison golf courses, during the Glen House renovation.
