Snow Plowing Update

The snowstorm beginning this evening will have long lasting impacts on travel, making commuting through Madison challenging tonight and conditions will deteriorate as snows continue, temperatures drop, and the winds intensify.  Streets Division crews will be out, but everyone who elects to be on the roads should anticipate snow-covered and slippery roads until sometime next week.

As a reminder, Streets Division drop-off sites have closed on Thursday (12/22) and Friday (12/23) in response to the storm.  And Friday's (12/23) trash and recycling collection has been suspended due to the high winds and continued snowstorm response.  Additional details about those operational changes can be found at www.cityofmadison.com/Streets.

Once the snow begins tonight Streets Division trucks will be deployed to the salt routes.  They will remain on these routes for the duration of the storm.
