Greg Markle of Operation Fresh Start kicks off a celebration for a new affordable home rehab on the city's northside. The partnership between Operation Fresh StartMadison Area Community Land Trust, and the City of Madison's Affordable Housing Fund adds another permanently affordable home to MACLT's portfolio bringing home ownership within reach of a new owner with limited income (in this case, for a home buyer making less than 50% the area median income). The land trust model ensures that this home will be affordable for the current owner and as well as future owners as it changes hands.
