Weapons offense in the 4200 block of Maher Ave

One subject was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries and a person of interest was taken into police custody following a weapons offense in the Lake Edge neighborhood on Friday. The investigation is active and ongoing. If anyone has information on this incident, please contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014 or on the web at P3Tips.com

Dempsey/Davies/Maher reconstruction project postponed to 2022

The Dempsey/Davies/Maher reconstruction project originally planned for this year will be postponed to next year. While these streets are in serious need of reconstruction, I supported the delay in order to give staff more time to work on a revised design for Maher. There were a number of concerns expressed with the original proposed design at the public information meeting and I have encouraged staff to consider an alternative design that can provide for safe and comfortable conditions for pedestrians without such significant impacts on the street tree canopy.

Spring primary election

The spring primary election is Tuesday, February 16.  Find out everything you need to know about voter ID, voting absentee, voter registration, where you vote and more on the City Clerk's Elections & Voting page.  If you have election questions, please email voting@cityofmadison.com.

D15 voters will only have one race on the primary ballot - State Superintendent of Public Instruction. You can read candidate statements and watch a candidate forum at the League of Women Voters website here to help you decide.
