Garver Construction Recycling Operations

I’ve received several questions and concerns regarding the construction recycling operations at Garver that occurred last year and that are continuing again this year. Mike Sturm from Madison Parks provides details on this operation and future plans in a letter here.

2023 Spring Election

The Spring Election is Tuesday, April 4, 7am - 8pm. If you have not registered to vote, you can still register to vote on Election Day at your polling location. BRT Eastside Construction Updates

On Thursday, Metro will host a virtual meeting with Eastside BRT Construction Updates. Work will begin on E. Washington Ave., Anderson St., and Mendota St. starting the week of April 3, 2023. Construction will take place in stages between 2023 and 2024. Attend the public information meeting to learn about specific road work, construction timelines, and effects on traffic. Much of the work will require traffic control and lane closures. More info here.

Disc Golf Volunteer Day at Hiestand Park

On Saturday from 9am - 11am., it's spring cleaning time for Hiestand disc golf course with trash removal, brush cutting, and other course improvements. Find more details here. 

700 Cottage Grove Road

On Monday, April 10, the Plan Commission will consider a demolition and conditional use permit for 700 Cottage Grove Road, formerly Badger Cab. In its place would be constructed an indoor storage facility, something like the below conceptual image. I’ll provide links to additional information when they’re published ahead of next Monday’s meeting.
