Public Information Sessions - Red Rooster & Young Blood Beer Company

August 3, 2021 4:08 PM

Friends and neighbors,

Below are 2 opportunities to learn more about proposed in-district projects that are currently working their way through city processes. One will be in person and the other, virtual via Zoom. As always, please let me know if you have questions or comments you would like to make beforehand and I'll do my best to get them answered!

- Jael

1. Please join us for an information session to hear about a proposal to open the Red Rooster Restaurant/Music Club at 2513 Seiferth Road. This address has been home to a number of bars and restaurants over the last four decades. Improvements to the existing building and outdoor space are being planned. These will make the Rooster more accessible, improve the acoustics, and enable the kitchen to have an expanded menu.

The Red Rooster will serve food from 11 am until about 9 pm, and will host music and other forms of entertainment (comedy, trivia, etc.) a few nights a week. Such events will almost always be in the evening and end around midnight. This project will require Conditional Use approval from the Plan Commission.

We look forward to meeting with you on August 9 at 7 pm in the parking lot of the Red Rooster at 2513 Seiferth Road.

When: Monday August 9th, 7pm

What: Public Information Session

Where: In Person, 2513 Seiferth Road Madison, 53716

Please wear a mask if you plan to attend this information session.

2. Please join us for a virtual neighborhood meeting on Thursday, August 12, at 6pm, where we will hear about Young Blood Beer Co.'s proposal to open a brewery in the existing building at 1915 S. Stoughton Road. The facility would be for production only with no taproom or tasting facilities for the public. No changes to the site are being proposed. Brewing operations would take place Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. The project will require Conditional Use approval from the Plan Commission.

You can join the virtual meeting using your computer, smartphone, or tablet, or you can listen in via telephone.
