Beltline closed tonight!

August 28, 2013 4:53 PM

You've no doubt read this elsewhere, but just in case you missed it: the West Beltline Highway will be CLOSED to all traffic from 10pm to 5am tonight for the setting of bridge trusses for the Cannonball Bike Path. The closure affects the segment between Fish Hatchery Rd. and Verona Rd.

The official detour is via PD/McKee Road, but the frontage roads will also remain open.

Here are the details:

Westbound: Traffic will exit off of USH 12 WB onto Fish Hatchery Road, south on Fish Hatchery Road (CTH D), west on McKee Road (CTH PD), north on Verona Road (USH 18/151), west back on to USH 12 WB.

Eastbound: Traffic will exit off of USH 12 EB onto Verona Road, south on Verona Road (USH 18/151), east on McKee Road (CTH PD), north on Fish Hatchery Road (CTH D), east back on to USH 12 EB.

Both north and south frontage roads are to remain open for setting the main spans over the beltline and therefore will not be closed the night of 8/28/13.  The north and south frontage roads are scheduled to be closed September 3 from 8 pm – 5 am to set the smaller truss spans.
