West Area Plan - Rescheduled In-Person Public Meeting on Thursday

The in-person West Area Plan meeting of February 9th that was canceled due to a snowstorm has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 9th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Vel Phillips Memorial High School, 201 South Gammon Road (enter through the front doors facing Mineral Point Road and follow the signs).  A presentation will start at approximately 6:45 p.m., followed by small group discussion.  The presentation and format are very similar to the previously held virtual meetings.  Staff requests that each person would like to attend please register to help us plan for the number of people who will be there. • Bus Rapid Transit Updates - Construction work will begin this week (Mineral Point Road, Whitney Way, and University Ave area). There is March 14 Public Info Meeting for Westside construction

• From the Mayor: The MOST Support for Our Young People - Madison-area Out-of-School Time initiative (MOST). MOST ensures that all of Madison's children and youth have access to comprehensive, high-quality, out-of-school time programs that support positive youth development, educational achievement and readiness for college, career and community.

• The City of Madison is currently accepting applications for its AASPIRE internship This is a paid, summer internship that lasts for 8-10 weeks. Applicants should be currently enrolled in college or have graduated since May 2021. Application deadline is March 19th.
