Old Middleton ramp closed starting Monday

September 14, 2012 10:41 AM

[edited 9/14/12 3:21pm to add information on bike path and additional lane]

The westbound ramp from University Avenue to Old Middleton Road will be closed starting MONDAY SEPTEMBER 17. The closure is expected to last for three weeks, until October 8. Note that this is ahead of the previously announced schedule. Construction crews will be rebuilding the ramp as part of the University Avenue reconstruction project.

Motorists should use Whitney Way or Segoe/Sheboygan/Eau Claire as alternates, or even better, use bike or bus if you can.

Old Middleton will continue to be open in both directions to Eau Claire, including access to the bike path. The EB onramp to University will remain open. And an additional WB lane is being added to University between Segoe and Whitney to help ease congestion.

Please use caution and patience, especially for the first few days as significant delays are possible.
