Resident engagement is critical in city planning. If you live on the West Side (which includes District 19), there is an active planning process going on right now for the entire area. I can't stress enough how much I value resident input and I encourage you to weigh in on this plan and others going on around the City. (See related links below). I also encourage you to click the link I provided for the list of City meetings this week; check out the agendas and identify items of interest. Send me your input and try to attend meetings (most have a virtual option) to speak on items of greatest importance to you. I also encourage you to follow the City budget process underway. See my earlier blog post about the budget process and make a point to look at the kinds of projects and programs that City departments and divisions have requested in the Capital Budget. What do you support? What is missing that you think is important? Send me your input at district19@cityofmadison.com

This week is packed with activities, including a West Side Alders Meet & Greet. I hope to see you there! There is another important meeting that conflicts with this, and I hope some of you will consider attending that one, where an update to Madison's Comprehensive Plan will be presented.
