I wanted to provide an update on some important City issues during this incredibly challenging time in our community.
The Common Council concluded the City's annual budgeting process at meetings last week (11/12 & 11/13). The Council adopted amended versions of both the Capital and Operating budgets.
I wanted to share some information to correct some incorrect narratives floating around our community about funding in the proposed 2020 Budget for our excellent Madison Police Department (MPD).
On Tuesday, November 12 (and November 13 & 14, if necessary), the Common Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing and adopt a capital and operating budget for 2020.
