The week of April 23 has items of possible interest to residents of district 2 at the Finance Committee, the Sustainable Madison Committee, the Plan Commission, the Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motor Vehicle Commission, the Board of Park Commissioners, the Alcohol License Review Committee, the Public Market Development Committee, a Neighborhood Meeting re Development Proposal for 119-125 N. Butler Street, the Madison Police Department Policy & Procedure Review Ad Hoc Committee and the Common Council President's Work Group on Surveillance Equipment & Data Management Policies. The city meeting agenda items are open for testimony from the public should you be interested in weighing in.  I also appreciate hearing from you on any items on which you have a particular interest or concern so please send me an email or give me a call.

Tenney Lapham Neighborhood Association grant request of $5,000 is included. Project description: Celebrating 100 years of Tenney Park and the Tenney Lapham Neighborhood - celebrate park and neighborhood with permanent installation of vintage park image signs in Tenney Park; increase visibility of Tenney's historic homes; and a contest to redesign neighborhood welcome sign at E. Johnson/Gorham Sts

Please join us for a neighborhood meeting where we will hear about Cliff Fisher's development proposal for 119-125 N. Butler Street.  The homes at 123 and 125 N. Butler Street are proposed for demolition. A four-story apartment building is proposed which would include 13 studio, 8 one--bedroom, and 9 two-bedroom and 1 three-bedroom apartments. There would be 14 underground and 13 surface parking stalls and parking for about 47 bicycles.  A driveway to the underground parking would enter from N. Hancock Street.
