Alder Heck’s Updates

Week of November 19 Meetings of Possible Interest to District 2

November 17, 2018 6:52 AM

Given the problem we had with no city committee or staff having the authority/responsibility to consider the impact on terrace trees related to house moves for the 700 block of E Johnson project I wanted to let you know I am introducing an  ordinance change at the Common Council this week (see below) to address this problem.  The ordinance change is to require that the Plan Commission consider the impact on terrace trees in their decision about whether to approve such a project.

Week of November 19 Meetings of Possible Interest to District 2

The week of November 19 has items of possible interest to residents of district 2 at the Landmarks Commission, the Task Force on Structure of City Government, the Common Council Executive Committee, the Common Council - Update on City's Performance Excellence Initiative, the Common Council, and the Alcohol License Review Committee.  The city meeting agenda items are open for testimony from the public should you be interested in weighing in.  I also appreciate hearing from you on any items on which you have a particular interest or concern so please send me an email or give me a call.

Also, committees and commissions have an opportunity at the beginning of each agenda for Public Comment on items not on the agenda.  If you have something you want to share with a committee or commission, you can use the Public Comment time to do so.
