Neighbors uniting against hate

It is always better for the community as a whole when we are good neighbors and treat each other with respect, decency and kindness. Hate has no place in our neighborhoods.

I stand firmly with our LGBTQ+ neighbors and our BIPOC neighbors. We are a diverse and welcoming community and it's that diversity and our inclusiveness that makes us strong. We cannot be silent when members of our community are being made to feel unsafe because of their gender identity, sexual orientation or color of their skin. I want to thank the Rolling Meadows Neighborhood Association for issuing this very important statement against hatred in our community.

Due to recent activity in our neighborhood, The Rolling Meadows Neighborhood Association would like to take this opportunity to state clearly and firmly that we condemn hate speech and hateful behavior. We stand with our LGBTQ+ neighbors. We stand with our BIPOC neighbors. We are a diverse community and fully support and fully welcome all members of our neighborhood. We will not stand by silently as anyone in our community is marginalized and made to feel unwelcome or unsafe. We see you, we support you. Hate is not welcome here.
 
We invite Rolling Meadows neighbors to help make your neighbors feel safe by flying a supportive flag or posting a supportive yard sign. We are all human. Choose love not hate.
