This year's Ride the Drive includes a route around Kennedy Park
This year's Ride the Drive is slated for Sunday, June 6, 2021 and the event will look different than the traditional downtown Ride the Drive.
As a COVID safety precaution, the city has made several significant adjustments. This year's Ride the Drive will offer four simultaneous neighborhood events. As in previous years, the focal point remains a park with surrounding vehicle street closures allowing participants to stroll, roll, pedal or glide along the less than 3-mile route in a free event.
Updates in the coming weeks can be found on RideTheDrive.com.

Parking division outages on Sunday mornings in April
The Parking Division is making upgrades to their payment systems that will result in some outages while the work is occurring. To mitigate as much impact to the public as possible, the work will occur on Sunday mornings in April, when garage use is at its lowest. This upgrade will affect the use of credit and debit cards at City-owned parking garages and lots. Cash payments will be required while monthly pass cards should see no disruption.

Public Health Madison & Dane County Pausing Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Administration
The CDC and FDA recommended pausing use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, after six reported cases of a rare and severe type of blood clot in individuals who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Public Health Madison & Dane County will follow this recommendation until further information is provided.
These adverse events appear to be extremely rare and are currently only documented in six cases out of about 7 million vaccines given, but the pause shows how seriously vaccine safety is taken.
