The Eastside Alders' bus ride event is tomorrow morning! The meet-up point is at the corner of MLK Jr Blvd and West Main, 10:00am. I will board the D1 bus inbound at Milwaukee Street and Kurt Drive at 8:58am. Apples, squash, and pastry are on my market shopping list. In this post you'll find more information that will help District 3 neighborhood residents figure out how to bus to the Farmer's Market on the square that morning - but I would still love to see you at the meet-up point at 10am regardless of how you get downtown. Hope to see you there!

This week's updates include information about the 9/5 Common Council meeting, the 9/6 Board of Public Works meeting, the 9/7 special meeting of the Plan Commission (to discuss proposed land use amendments to the Comprehensive Plan's Generalized Future Land Use Map), a reminder of School Safety Zone rules, a request for your input to help shape the forthcoming Community Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness, events and announcements, and brush and yard waste collection updates from the Streets Division. Good morning! This week's update includes information about City meetings of the Plan Commission, City-County Homelessness Issues Committee, Public Safety Review Committee, and Transportation Commission. I'm also highlighting two public input and information events next week that are relevant to District 3 neighborhoods: Northeast Area Planning events and a Door Creek Watershed Study public information meeting. The next few weeks are a little slower with many City committees taking a break for August, so I may group weekly events into fewer blog posts until things pick up at the end of the month.
