2021 Neighborhood Grant Awards
Five neighborhood groups received grants this year ...
Northside Planning Council and Lake View Elementary - Our Culture, Our Tradition Hmong storytelling project highlighting Hmong language and cultural traditions, family history, stories of resilience, and other messages to share with younger generations.
Summit Woods Neighborhood Mohican Triangle Park Improvement with seating, perennial plantings and other community amenities.
Mentoring Positives and Darbo Neighborhood Council - Community Organizing and Engagement to provide leadership training for residents and a community action plan.
Junction Ridge Neighborhood - Neighborhood Oasis to create a gathering place in Junction Ridge Park with patio, benches and bike rack surrounded by perennial plantings and interpretive signage.
Marquette Neighborhood and Broom Street Theater Gathering Place for theater goers and members of the public with seating, plantings and a Sid Boyum sculpture.

Effective on June 2, Public Health Madison & Dane County will lift all public health orders, including mask requirements, and gathering and capacity limits. When the orders expire on June 2, masking requirements will become recommendations and individual businesses and organizations may choose to enforce their own policies.
Remember that beginning June 1, 2021, the City of Madison will resume enforcement of all on-street parking restrictions, ending the temporary suspension of Residential Parking Permit restrictions and time limit restrictions in non-metered areas.
