City Office Closures on January 2, 2023

• Since New Year's Day falls on a Sunday this year, City administrative offices, including the Common Council office, will be closed on Monday, January 2, in observance of the holiday. Report a Problem for non-emergencies.

Meetings

• The Common Council will meet in hybrid format at 6:30pm on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023. Agenda includes commending Fire Marshal Edwin Ruckriegel on his retirement; celebrating 1/16/23 as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; authorizing a referendum to establish staggered alder terms; approving a Complete Green Streets policy; and more.

• Greater Madison MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization) Policy Board will meet virtually on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 6:30PM. Items on the agenda include a presentation on MPO Funded Exchange Street Project and Request for Approval of Design Change and a presentation on Metro Transit Safety Planning Efforts.
