#8. Create an alternative process to explore development of city owned property at 800 Block South E Washington Ave.

Read the resolution for the explanation of how this is an 'alternate process' from previous RFPs for the Don Miller parcels. Similar to past efforts, a new ad hoc Committee will be created.

The Common Council will create the Capitol East District Committee (the "Committee") comprised of the following individuals appointed by the Mayor unless otherwise noted and confirmed by the Common Council:
1.      Alder of District 2

3.      Alder-at-large
4.      Alder-at-large
5.      Designee of the Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Association president

6. 33909 Consideration of a demolition permit and conditional use to allow an office building to be demolished and a mixed-use building containing 1,300 square feet of commercial space and 30 apartment units to be constructed at 330 E. Wilson Street; 6th Ald. Dist.

Referral is recommended to 7/7 Plan Commission meeting pending a recommendation by UDC

13. 32826 SUBSTITUTE Amending various sections of Chapter 28 of the Madison General Ordinances allow Mission Houses and Daytime Shelters as principal uses of land and to add a new definition for Daytime Shelter.

I have been working on this zoning text amendment with Ald Zellers, Sup Wegleitner, service providers and Planning staff. This amendment adds definitions, changes assumption that they are accessory uses and adds a conditional use requirement to siting these facilities/uses.

1. 32900 Discussion of building options for the Paterson St Operations Center Reconstruction

Staff makes the following recommendation: That work shall commence to reconstruct and remodel the Paterson Street Operations
center at its current location, and staff negotiates and executes an amendment to the Mead and Hunt contract to add final design, bidding, and construction services. Consideration will be given to streetscape, public terrace design and public amenities along Main Street and at the intersection of Main and Paterson.

The search for a location for a structured parking lot in the Cap East District will continue.
