MNA P&D virtual meeting June 9 at 5:30p

June 6, 2020 12:23 AM

Greetings-

Please join me and the Marquette Neighborhood Association's Preservation & Development Committee for a virtual meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 5:30pm.

You will be able to join the meeting by using your PC, smartphone, or tablet, or listen in via telephone.

We will hear about MadSweetPea, LLC's application for a Class B Liquor & Beer License for Taco Local, a new restaurant located at 811 Williamson Street. Taco Local plans to be open Sunday through Saturday from 7am to 10pm, and they are requesting seating on an outdoor patio at the rear of the building. The Alcohol License Review Committee will review the alcohol license application at its meeting on June 17, 2020. Under the City's new Streatery Program, once they are open, they are eligible to apply for temporary outdoor seating, which does not require Conditional Use approval from the Plan Commission. The total on-site capacity (both inside and outside) for the temporary outdoor seating would be limited to whatever the building code occupancy limit is. The temporary outdoor seating would expire October 25. If they proceed to obtain Conditional Use approval from the Plan Commission, they could use that in place of the temporary outdoor seating.

We will also hear about Musonics, LLC's application for outdoor seating for up to eight people at Café Coda, 1224 Williamson Street. The outdoor seating would be for seven hours of an operating day from June 1 through October 31. Under the City's new Streatery Program, they are not able to apply for temporary outdoor seating because Café Coda is a nightclub and only food service establishments are eligible. They will have to get Conditional Use approval from the Plan Commission and approval for a change in licensed premise from the ALRC. The Alcohol License Review Committee will review the application for a change in licensed premise at its meeting on June 17, 2020.

I look forward to meeting with you on the 9th.
