Common Council

The Wilson + Blair development proposal is at Landmarks on Monday and at UDC Wednesday for informational presentations.

The Common Council meets Tuesday after a month-long break. The agenda is light but there are lots of items for introduction including the 2024 Executive Capital budget and two D6 alcohol licenses.

Atwood Avenue will be completely closed between Fair Oaks Avenue and Oakridge Avenue/Sugar Avenue for the final phase of street reconstruction starting Monday, July 31. The full closure is expected to last approximately one month.

There are two upcoming meetings regarding the Brayton lot, the parking lot at E Washington and S Butler. First will be an in-person meeting, Tuesday Aug 22, at 7p in MMB room 215 followed by a virtual meeting for those unable to attend the in-person meeting, on Wednesday Aug 23 at noon.

The City held a public meeting on the Comp Plan Interim Update on Thursday July 13th. I am hoping residents are paying attention and thinking about the future land uses for the city and our district. The proposed map changes are here:

Updates from last week RE the Essen Haus's proposal for outdoor live music and The Atwood's application for change of licensed premises. Tuesday May 30 is the neighborhood meeting RE 702-704 E Washington. And 1601-1607 Sherman @ Urban Design on Wednesday.

The Essen Haus complex (506-518 E Wilson and 134-148 S Blair St) is at the Plan Commission Monday requesting an alteration to a Planned Development.
