Purpose

The City of Madison’s Police Department applied for and the City of Madison received funds from the US Federal Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for a Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation (BCJI) grant to implement the Isthmus Safety Initiative program to decrease violent crime and improve safety in downtown Madison.

  1. Review RFP Guidelines

  2. Attend the Workshop

    Applicants, were asked to attend a required workshop on Thursday, August 11th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  Please see the recording and presentation, if you missed it.

  3. Review the Timeline

    Please keep in mind these important dates. They represent the City’s desired timeline for implementing this project. All dates are tentative, non-binding, and subject to change, with notice. 

    • July 12, 2022: I ntroduce Resolution and Policy Paper to Common Council
    • July 13, 2022: Public Safety Review Committee
    • July 25 , 2022: Finance Committee
    • August 2, 2022: Common Council Approval
    • August 4, 2022: Release of RFP
    • August 11, 2022: Application Workshop
    • August 29, 2022DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS AT 12:00 PM (NOON) CDT
    • September 6, 2022: Introduction to Common Council
    • September 12, 2022: Finance Committee Action
    • September 20, 2022: Common Council Final Action
    • September 21, 2022: Notification of Awards
    • October 1, 2022: Anticipated Contract Start Date
  4. Submit the Application

    Applications MUST be received by our office by 12:00 PM CST (Noon) on August 29, 2022. Proposals must be submitted to: CDDapplications@cityofmadison.com. All proposals must be submitted electronically.
     

    Applications time stamped received after 12:00 pm will not be accepted, no exceptions!
