Bayview Neighborhood's 2018 Patterns of Passage Project

The Department of Planning and Community & Economic Development, Planning Division, has a grant program designed to help neighborhoods build capacity and beautify public places. The grant program helps to improve the quality of life within neighborhoods, and the City as a whole.

Preparation

  1. Meet with your neighborhood to plan a project.
  2. Review the Grant Program Guidelines (Spanish and Hmong translations available in mid-January)
  3. Attend an Optional Grant Workshop. The first one will be January 8, 6:00 p.m. at the Madison Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Room 153. There will be additional workshops scheduled. Check back to this webpage in mid-January for more information. View the workshop slideshow from 2020.
  4. Pre-application discussion with Planning Division staff. Contact Linda Horvath at 608-267-1131 or lhorvath@cityofmadison.com.

Application

  1. Handwrite this application and submit it to the Planning Division by March 2, 2020, 4:30 p.m.; use email or hand deliver to Linda Horvath lhorvath@cityofmadison.com or, 215 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., P.O. Box 2985, Planning Division, Madison 53701-2985.
  2. Complete and submit the online application
  3. Prepare a video application via YouTube (guidelines available mid-January; please check back to this webpage.
