Triangle Monona Bay Neighborhood Plan

The Planning Division is working with the Triangle Monona Bay Neighborhood to create a plan for a strong and complete neighborhood. The focus is on where people will live, work, shop and play as the neighborhood evolves, and how they will get around. The plan will build upon recommendations of the Greening Americas Capitals Report, Comprehensive Plan and other relevant City plans. A City-appointed Steering Committee is meeting regularly to guide plan content. Steering Committee meeting dates, times and places are shown below, and meeting agendas, minutes and attachments are on the City's webpage.

Recent Happenings

The neighborhood survey distributed at the August 23 Open House and available on this webpage is now closed. Staff are in process of tabulating and analyzing results and will post survey results on this webpage by early November.

Next Steps

Creation of a draft neighborhood plan is underway. The City Council will adopt the plan as a supplement to the City's Comprehensive Plan sometime in spring 2019. It will include a detailed land use map; alternative site layout and design schematics for identified focus areas; design guidelines and programming (building height, scale, massing, orientation); sustainability principles; open space recommendations; a shared services and facilities recommendation map; a transportation concepts and circulation map; and an implementation plan.
