PIM Number 2 Notice
A Public Information Meeting was held on Tuesday February 21, 2017. The presentation and plans can be found below. At this meeting, the project was presented with a proposed widened sidewalk on the south side while maintaining the existing travel and parking lanes.
The project was presented to the Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Motor Vehicle Commission on February 22, 2017, and the commission requested that additional input be gathered on the project.
Another public informational meeting is being held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 6:30 PM in Room 351 of the City County Building (210 Martin Luther King Junior Blvd.). Additional options will be presented at this meeting including the original proposal ( widened sidewalk on the south side), a option with a dedicated counter-flow bike lane adjacent to the sidewalk, and an option with a separate contra-flow bike lane on or off the street, which would result in the loss of parking.
