State Street Plan

The City plans to reconstruct the 700/800 Blocks of State Street in 2014.  The two blocks will undergo complete reconstruction including concrete sidewalk, lighting, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main improvements.  Construction is planned to begin May 19, 2014. To view the final design, please see the attached pdf.  State Street Final Design

A public preconstruction meeting was held on Tuesday April 29 at 10 AM in the Memorial Union 800 Langdon St., Class of 1924 Reception Room.  The presentation can be found here:  StateStreet PRECON Slides

A public information meeting regarding the final design of this project was held on December 5th, 2013 from 7pm to 9pm at the Lowell Center, 610 Langdon Street, Madison, WI in rooms B-1A and B-1B. The City held a public information meeting on April 23, 2013 regarding this project.  There was a presentation and breakout sessions for public to provide input on the project.  The purpose of the meeting was to gather input as the design team begins to prepare preliminary designs.  The presenation can be found here:  StateStreet Library Mall PIM1 042313
