Incident Report for Case #2019-508870

Incident Type

Robbery

Incident Date

12/11/2019 - 12:47 PM

Address

709 Struck St. (Dane County Credit Union)

Update

(second update)

A West District detective has developed probable cause to arrest current Dane County Jail inmate Rondino S. Fleming, Jr., age 27, for this robbery.

MPD SWAT assisted in taking Fleming into custody on December 13th.

At the time, Fleming was arrested on an unrelated charge; however, the MPD had already developed Fleming as a suspect in the Dane County Credit Union heist.

The investigation into that crime has now reached a level where there is probable cause to arrest Fleming for robbery of a financial institution.

The MPD has been working in concert with the Fitchburg Police Department on this probe, as Fitchburg Police had a similar robbery in their community.

(first update)

The MPD is seeking assistance in identifying the man in these surveillance photos. He is the person who committed the robbery. Those with information are asked to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014. The man in the photo may also be the same person who committed a recent Fitchburg bank robbery.
