Antonio R. Stidhum, 20, was visiting an apartment around 2:30pm on the first floor of 1905 McKenna Boulevard when he was shot and killed one year ago today. When officers arrived, it appeared people in the apartment had just left. There were no signs of forced entry. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.

Madison Police Department Violent Crime Unit is investigating a homicide which took place inside an apartment on McKenna Blvd this afternoon.  The deceased has not been positively identified, but is believed to be an adult male.  Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was specifically targeted.  It will be up to the Dane County Medical Examiner's office to release the cause and manner of death.  The victim did suffer gunshot wounds.  The MPD is asking those in the community who might have information regarding this case to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.

Details

Madison Police and Fire were dispatched to the area of 1900 McKenna Blvd for a weapons offense, shots fired.  Officers found evidence of shots fired on scene and are currently investigating.  This is an active scene and the public is asked to avoid this area.
