UPDATE 1

The suspect in this robbery was arrested Friday morning following a pursuit in Columbia County.  



The Columbia County Sheriff's Office reported seeing the suspect in the stolen vehicle around 10:35 a.m. near the city of Lodi.



The driver refused to pull over during a traffic stop and sped away. Tire deflation spikes were deployed, but the suspect continued to drive erratically and crashed in a ditch. The suspect also tried to run from officers.



The crash caused minor damage to the stolen vehicle and a Columbia County 



Keewan J. Singleton, 34, of Middleton, was taken into custody and booked into the Columbia County Jail on a variety of charges. 



The Madison Police Department spokes with detectives from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office following this incident.



Additional charges are pending from other jurisdictions.



This incident remains under investigation by the Madison Police Department.

Details

The Madison Police Department is investigating after a woman was attacked while loading groceries into her vehicle early Friday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Nakoosa Trail around 7:45 a.m.

A male suspect approached the woman and demanded she give him her keys. The woman refused and was battered by the suspect.

Two store employees came to the woman's aid. The suspect backed into one of these employees as he drove away in the victim's vehicle.

Neither the woman or the employee were taken to the hospital. Both reported minor injuries.

Madison police are searching for a 2013 Land Range Rover Evoque with a license plate of JaneSP. If you see this vehicle, please call 911 immediately.
