UPDATE 2 - 7/21/2023

A gun was recovered Thursday morning as officers arrested a teen wanted in connection to a recents shots fired incident. 



Members of our Violent Crime Unit and Gang and Neighborhood Crime Abatement Team located Rasheed L. Martin, 18, along the 600 block of S. Gammon Rd. around 10:40 a.m. 



Martin was one of the people wanted for a shooting along the 2800 block of Dahle St. where a woman was injured by debris when a stray bullet entered her home. Three homes in total were damaged by bullets.



The investigation is ongoing.



UPDATE 1 - 6/8/2023

An adult woman was cut by debris when a stray bullet entered her home.



One of the vehicles involved in this incident has been located.

Details

A stray bullet came inches of hitting a person lying in their bed Tuesday morning.
 
Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Dahle St. around 11:45 a.m. for a reports of shots fired.
 
Witnesses said someone inside a vehicle fired shots toward another vehicle.

Three homes, including two that were occupied, were struck by flying bullets.
 
One person was lying in their bed when a bullet became lodged in the mattress.
 
More than a dozen shell casings were recovered.

The Violent Crime Unit is leading the investigation into this incident.

No arrests have been made at this time.
