2015: Advanced AR-15 Diagnostics: Fixing the problem rifle and the problem shooter

This 8-hr class is designed for instructors, armorers and patrol-rifle users. The morning will be spent in the classroom, where students will learn the "formula" for a reliable rifle. Students will learn how to select a rifle and how to conduct preventative maintenance - which includes more than simply cleaning, but proper lubrication, parts inspection and parts replacement. Students will learn how to diagnose reliability problems by understanding the cycle of operations and eliminating variables. Students will learn how barrel twist and ammunition affects accuracy, how to properly mount optics, why not to re-chamber duty ammunition and other critical operational aspects of the AR-15 platform.

The afternoon will be spent on the range where students will learn how to diagnose and correct common shooter errors, how students should most efficiently manipulate the carbine, and how to fix 5 types of malfunctions they or their students may encounter on the street.
