This course is intended for Officers new to SWAT operations or uniformed officers interested in advancing their tactical skills. Students will receive both classroom instruction and practical applications through force on force scenario based learning. Students will be quizzed daily on topics learned. Final day of training will include students planning and completing 4 evaluated force on force tactical scenarios and a final written test.Upon completing this course students will be familiar with:
1. Manual Breaching (Doors and Windows) 2. Containment 3. Less Lethal Deployments 4. Chemical Munitions Deployment 5. Noise Flash Diversionary Device Deployments 6. Tactical Medical Care 7. Room entry and clearing techniques 8. Search Warrant Service 9. Barricaded Subject Operations 10. Hostage Rescue Basics
Equipment needed • SWAT Uniform and Equipment (Vest and Helmet if applicable) • Patrol Uniform (If not a tactical team member) o Soft body armor o Duty belt • Personal eye/ear pro optional • Rifle o Rifle ammo 500rnds • Handgun o Handgun ammo 300rnds • Gas Mask • Personal Protection for Simunitions (throat, groin, gloves, etc.) Course will provide if you do not have personal protection.
