Microsoft Excel 1: Beginner- Formatting Spreadsheets

Do you want your worksheets to look more professional? Do you want to call special attention to certain areas of your spreadsheet?

Attend this course if you want to:

Format text using the Ribbon or Mini toolbar. Adjust column width and/or row height Change the look of an entire workbook by applying a theme. Add borders and shading to cells. Adjust the position of contents within a cell. Make text display vertically or at an angle, rather than horizontally. Make text wrap to additional lines within a cell. Format numbers with percent symbols, commas, and dollar signs. Adjust date and numeric formats. Copy formatting from one area to another. Conditionally format data to automatically apply different formatting to cells that meet specific criteria. Format cells using built-in cell styles. Change the margins, page orientation, or paper size. Center the worksheet on the page. Force the worksheet to fit on a specific number of pages. Hide or display gridlines. Add headers and footers to display when you print the worksheet. Preview the worksheet in final form before printing and, if necessary, adjust page breaks.
