Are rides not being printed on your ADULT 10-Ride Card?

Metro’s most recent order of ADULT 10-Ride Cards was printed incorrectly by our vendor.

If you have an ADULT 10-Ride Card numbered 542001 to 555450, the time and date of your ride may not be printing on the card in dark ink after you have placed into the farebox trim unit.

Despite ride information not appearing in dark ink, your card still works.

If you hold the card at an angle in the light, you can see the outline of the information printed lightly on the card. Fareboxes will still accept these cards and will alert you if there are no longer rides left on the card.

Metro’s vendor is reprinting the order, and staff will be sending out replacement cards to outlets as soon as they arrive.

Until the new order is received, passengers can:

  • Continue to use cards (542001 to 556400). Simply verify ride use by holding card at an angle in the light.
  • Bring to Metro Transit (1245 E. Washington Ave.) for replacement
  • Replace by mail. Send to: Metro Transit, 1245 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53703.

Metro apologizes for any inconvenience and will have replacement cards in circulation soon.

Due to a software upgrade, some of Metro's bus tracking smartphone apps are not currently available.

Bus tracking data is now available using Metro's Transit Tracker, the Transit App, Moovit, and Mad Next Bus.

Other apps are expected to be available later in the week.
