MPD K9 UNIT GETS LARGE DONATION
Chief Wray To Receive $5,000 Donation Tomorrow
Madison Police Chief Noble Wray, on behalf on the department's K9 Unit, and the unit's nonprofit fundraising arm: Capital K-9s, is pleased to announce a $5,000 donation from Del Monte Pet Products and Milk-Bone®, which are working in partnership with Copps Food Centers.
Chief Wray will receive the donation at a ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30th, at Copps, 2502 Shopko Drive, at 11:00 a.m.
Members of the Madison Police K9 Unit will also be on hand, and will put on a demonstration.
The Milk-Bone® nationwide police dog donation program is part the Milk-Bone® Canine Heroes™ Program. Its' mission is to help law enforcement agencies add to, or maintain canine units at no cost to citizens. Over 900 police and service dogs have been sponsored by Milk-Bone® to communities across the country since 1997.
Capital K-9s is a nonprofit organization set up to support and fund the Madison Police Department's K9 Unit.
