MPD Responding To Injury And Blockage Crashes Only

The Madison Police Department is currently responding to only injury crashes, or those causing road blockages, as pavement conditions deteriorate with the first round of the season's inaugural snowstorm descending upon on the Capital City.

The Officer In Charge (OIC) made the decision to go to injury and blockage crashes only around 9:45 a.m. as the number of "fender-benders" and run-offs began to escalate. This will enable officers to respond to all emergency calls.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, and review best practices for Wisconsin winter driving.
