Starts late March Due to construction on East Washington, Routes 6, 14, 15, 25, 56 and 57 buses will require closures and relocations of bus stops between Dickinson and Fourth Street.

Starts Monday March 6 Due to construction on First Street & East Washington Avenue Route 29 buses will detour via Johnson Street and Baldwin Street.

J.H. Findorff & Son Construction will be erecting a mobile crane on the 100 block of S. Pinckney St. This will require the closure of the 100 block of S. Pinckney Street from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Madison – The Madison Department of Public Health (MDPH) will honor businesses that have gone the extra food-safety mile to protect the health of their patrons at a recognition event on Wednesday, March 8, from 2:00-3:00 p

Due to deteriorating snow conditions, the cross-country ski trails in the City of Madison parks are closed. As a reminder, the outdoor ice rinks are closed for the season.

The 600 block of West Washington Avenue between Bedford Street and Proudfit Street will be closed Saturday, March 4, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Beginning on Monday, March 6, 2006, and continuing thru August 2006, Edgewood Avenue will be closed between Fox Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue to allow for the replacement of the Edgewood Avenue bridge.

Madison – Mayor Dave Cieslewicz made the following statement today regarding the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 53, the Civil Unions and Marriage Ban amendment to the constitution:

All of the city of Madison's outdoor ice rinks are closed for the season. The outdoor ice rink season typically ends mid to late February.

On Wednesday, March 1, 2006, J. H. Findorff & Son Construction will be erecting a mobile crane in the 100 block of South Pinckney Street. This will require the closing of South Pinckney Street from 6:00 a.m.

Tenney and Vilas Park ice rinks will be open for skating this weekend. Vilas Park has skating only at the figure-skating rink. The lagoon and hockey rink are closed.

The City of Madison is expanding the list of items subject to collection fees.

Madison – Mayor Dave Cieslewicz announced today that an innovative Youth Court program will be coming to the Allied Drive neighborhood in March.

The ski trails are groomed and open at the following locations: Odana Golf Course, Elver Park, Owen Conservation Park, S.Cherokee Marsh, Monona Golf Course, and Turville Woods.
