Last Updated: 10/31/2017

Work  to replace the existing playground at Country Grove Park is complete!
CG 10.21.17

Subcontractor Dresen Decks & Patios has completed installation of the playground equipment and Contractor Madison Commercial Landscapes Inc. (Fitchburg, WI) has installed the grass seed and matt and has removed the orange construction fence - the playground is open and ready for play!

All questions and comments regarding Country Grove Park playground should be directed to Kate Kane, Landscape Architect, at or (608) 261-9671.

The Parks Division held two public input meetings regarding the project: the first as part of the 2017 Playgrounds Group 2 Workshop on November 3, 2016 and a follow-up session with the neighborhood on December 1, 2016.

At the second meeting, attendees asked for revisions to the selected 2-5 age range equipment Option #2 design to include the addition of a Horse Funky Rider or extra QuBits Clusters and to the 5-12 age range equipment Option #1 design to change the color scheme to dark green and brown and a swap of the Ribbon Climber to a Stalagtite Climber or Beanstalk Climber.  These changes will be requested from the manufacturer for pricing and if the budget can accommodate them (color change will not affect price), will be added to the proposals and posted here and sent to meeting attendees for review.

12-6-2016 UPDATE:
Links to the revised equipment proposals are shown, below.  The proposals show the requested changes that could be made to the equipment within the available budget.  Happily, one of the requested extras could be added to both the 2-5 age range equipment and to the 5-12 age structure!
