The week of April 1 has items of possible interest to residents of district 2 at the Transportation Policy and Planning Board, the Urban Forestry Task Force, the Public Market Development Committee, a Neighborhood Meeting re Pasqual's Application for a Change of Alcohol License for the 2019 Margarita & Taco Fest , and a Pre-Construction Public Meeting for E Johnson St. The city meeting agenda items are open for testimony from the public should you be interested in weighing in.  I also appreciate hearing from you on any items on which you have a particular interest or concern so please send me an email or give me a call.

Also, committees and commissions have an opportunity at the beginning of each agenda for Public Comment on items not on the agenda.  If you have something you want to share with a committee or commission, you can use the Public Comment time to do so.

Neighborhood Meeting re Pasqual's Application for a Change of Alcohol License for the 2019 Margarita & Taco Fest

Please join Rigina MacNaughton of Pasqual’s Cantina and me for a meeting where we will hear about Pasqual’s application for a Change of Licensed Premises to allow for them to serve alcohol in their parking lot one day to hold the third annual Margarita and Taco Fest. This year they would like to hold the event on Saturday July 20th from 4pm - 8pm.   They would like to increase ticket sales from 700 to 900 and increase the Taco Vendors from 15 to 20 as well as have more interactive events.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.


Pre-Construction Public Meeting & Start Work Notification for E Johnson St

You are invited to attend a pre-construction public meeting for the reconstruction of East Johnson Street in the city of Madison. The project extends approximately 3,000 feet along East Johnson Street from North Baldwin Street to North First Street (STH 113). Construction is expected to begin in April 1, 2019 and be completed by mid-November of 2019.

The meeting will be conducted in an informal, open house format to allow for dialogue and individual questions and comments. A presentation will be given at 6:15 p.m. The city of Madison, WisDOT, roadway contractor, and design and field engineer consultant representatives will be available to discuss the project’s construction and answer questions.  Previous public meetings were held during the design phase of the project on April 28, 2016 and November 10, 2016.
