Criteria for Participation:

  • Food vendors interested in being a part of Madison Meet & Eat must eligible to attend all 2013 event dates per series as assigned.  Meaning if you sign up for the Villager Mall series- you must be able to attend all four dates for that location.
  • Food cart vendors must provide all their own electricity or generators.  The City of Madison and Madison Parks will not provide any equipment, and electrical sources are not available on site.
  • All food vendors and carts must have current licensing through the City of Madison and Public Health. Licenses and insurance information should be up to date and on file prior to Meet & Eat events.
  • The menu offered should include at least one reduced price or small portioned food item that is sold at or under $3.00. We encourage all food vendors to keep in mind affordability of other menu items as well.
  • Food vendors must be willing to participate in a Meet & Eat food voucher reimbursement program. This program provides coupons to a limited number of attendees that is worth $2. Each coupon collected by the vendor will be reimbursed by the City of Madison for the amount indicated on the coupon at the end of the Meet and Eat series.

Interested food carts or food vendor must register to participate at Meet & Eat by filling out the interest form online or printing out the form and mailing it in.

Register online by completing the online application form.

Printing and completing this paper version of the registration registration form.

Completed paper registration forms can be sent to:

City of Madison Parks Division

C/O Madison Meet & Eat

PO Box 2987

Madison, WI 53701

The deadline to register for all dates and locations is Friday, May 24, 2013

The number of vendors able to participate at each location is limited. Selection to participate at Meet & Eat is based on the following variables:

  • Ability to meet the Meet & Eat Food Vendor Participation Criteria listed above.
  • The food vendor’s overall score from the annual food cart review. If maximum participation is reached, review scores will be used to determine between carts offering similar menu items. If your food cart does not participate in a food cart review, you are still welcome to apply.
  • The overall Food Vendor Applications received in order to ensure a diversity of food options at each Meet & Eat location.

Site logistics

Meet and Eat locations are mostly in parking lots.  We will have a layout for the food carts and you will be designated a location at the event site.  Attendance at each event may vary.  If there is inclement weather, Meet and Eat might be cancelled, and vendors will be notified.
