Cherokee Marsh Phragmites Workday
Event Description
Help Remove Invasive Phragmites (giant reed grass)
Assist in keeping the high-quality wetlands in Cherokee Marsh free from invasive phragmites. Volunteers are needed to use twine to tie stalks in bundles. We will then cut the stalks above the twine and treat the cut ends.
Details:
- We recommend long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hat, and close-toed shoes or boots. Bring drinking water
- We will cancel if raining or threat of thunderstorms.
