Ice rinks are beginning to open - among those currently are Vilas, Olbrich, Heritage Heights, Hillington Triangle, Wexford, and the hockey rink at Westmorland. We anticipate Tenney ice rink opening Thursday. Before you step out, be sure to check the status of your favorite rink here.
New this year and beginning December 29, Play It Again Sports will be in the John Wall Family Pavilion in Tenney Park selling hockey sticks, pucks and tape. Plus, sharpening skates for just $6.
While the ice rink at Elver continues to be closed, the park currently offers groomed cross-country ski trails, including lighted west trails and sledding hill. The warming shelter offers concessions, ski and sled rentals and a new rental this year, sit skis - an accessible one-person ski. Once the ice rink is open, staff will rent ice skates and hockey sticks.
Trails continued to be groomed at Odana Hills Golf Course. The clubhouse is open 8:30am-4:00pm on weekends and holidays for ski rentals, concessions and new this year – two indoor golf simulators available for walk-in play. Evenings and weekdays are reservable for tee times or a group golf party by calling (608)266-4710.
In addition to Elver and Odana Hills Golf Course, trails are groomed while conditions allow, at another five locations including, Yahara Hills Golf Course where winter disc golf is also available! Check the status of your favorite trail here.
No matter your interest - skating, skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, indoor golf or outdoor disc golf - winter fun has arrived in Madison Parks!
