The City of Madison Parks Division is seeking volunteers who enjoy work outdoors to help with the on-going Cherokee Marsh Restoration project.

Ski Trails - Snow is packed and tracks set at Elver Park and Odana Golf Course. Lights will be on at Elver Park. Conditions are good for skate-skiing, and fair for track-skiing.

The ski trails were rolled to pack a base on Monday morning. More snow is needed to groom tracks. Current conditions are fair. The ice rinks remain closed due to dangerously thin ice.

The outdoor ice rinks all still have open water and are unsafe. There needs to be at least 10 days to 2 weeks of below freezing temperatures for safe skating conditions.

Monday, Dec. 11 The Madison Parks ice rinks are all closed due to warm weather and deteroriating ice conditions.

Tenney, Elver and Vilas Parks ice rinks will open on Sunday morning at 11a.m. The scheduled hours are 11a.m. - 9:30p.m.

Elver Park Ice Rink will also open on Saturday from 11a.m.-9:30p.m. Due to the predicted warm weather, Sunday's hours are TBA. There are no hockey boards up yet.
