In 2000, 2.51 acres of public parkland were dedicated to the City of Madison as part of the Hawk's Landing development. This undeveloped parcel is now called Greenside Park and staff have begun a master planning process to determine future programming and development on the site. Parks staff are seeking comments and ideas from the surrounding neighborhood regarding the future of the park, and will hold at least two public input meetings and issue an online survey. Once the master plan has been developed, incorporating input from the neighborhood, the plan will go to the Board of Park Commissioners for approval.
