Attendees indicated a preference for the layout and amenities of the second conceptual master plan.

Community Survey
As part of the master planning process, Parks issued a community survey to residents. Paper copies were mailed to residents within approximately a 1/4 mile radius of the park and an online version was made available. The survey has been closed and the results are being analyzed.

Background
In 1962, 3.41 acres of public parkland were dedicated to the City of Madison as part of the Wedgewood subdivision development. This parcel was named Portland Park and staff have begun a master planning process to guide future programming and development on the site. Parks staff are seeking comments and ideas from the surrounding neighborhood regarding the future of the park, and will hold at least two public input meetings and issue a community survey. Once the master plan has been developed, incorporating input from the neighborhood, the plan will go to the Board of Park Commissioners for approval.
