Background:
The City of Madison Parks Division together with the Mayor's Food Policy Coordinator held a public input meeting regarding a proposed master plan amendment to allow for the expansion of the community gardens at Rennebohm Park on March 8th at Mt. Olive Church in Madison.  There were approximately 27 attendees at the session, as well as District 11 Alder Martin.  City of Madison Parks heard from 9 others who were unable to attend the meeting but were interested in expressing an opinion and/or requesting additional information.

At the meeting, City staff presented a brief recap of the public input process regarding the expansion of the Hill Farms Area Community Garden, together with a staff report summarizing the findings regarding the proposed expansion.  Parks staff then presented visuals showing the proposed community garden expansion area, path realignment and relocation of the existing backstop at the park.  The materials from the meeting can be accessed at the links, below.
