East District Station
The East District station will be open to the public once again on July 6th, 2021. The lobby and service window will be open from 8:15 am until 4:00 pm. The community room will also be available for reservations. We look forward to engaging community members in person after a long postponement.
East District Summer Strategic Plan
We are through the month of June and MPD officers have been hard at work trying to reduce crime in the East District and across the City. Burglaries and theft from autos are trending down. However, stolen autos continue to trend up in the East District. Shots fired incidents have also trended up recently, officers will continue to focus efforts in the areas where these crimes have been observed
Community engagement is another important part of the plan. Officers will continue to be on foot and proactively patrolling in squads. You may even see the Mount Patrol riding horses in various ares of the district. Be sure to say hello.
