The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on May 21 to 6:00am on May 22, we received 467 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- East: 107
- Midtown: 82
- North: 68
- South: 49
- West: 81
- Other: 11
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Thursday, May 21:
Priority calls only from 12:50pm to 7:00pm due to calls for service.
- 4:43am - East – Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where a 34-year-old female suspect was fighting with the victim. The victim fled before police arrived. The suspect was arrested for bail jumping as her bail conditions prohibited her from being at this address. (This was a late call that did not make the previous 24-hour cycle.)
- 8:54am - Central – Disturbance Unwanted Person: Officers responded to a fire station where someone was camped at the side of the building. The subject left the premises at the officers' request.
- 10:33am - North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 24-year-old male suspect punched a hole in the wall and punched the victim. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect and charge him with domestic battery. Suspect is at large.
- 11:16am - West – Child Neglect: Officers investigated a case of child neglect where the 31-year-old suspect left his 5-year-old daughter at home alone.
- 12:16pm - North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 22-year-old male suspect armed himself with a knife and damaged furniture in the home. Officers consulted with Journey Mental Health who decided to pursue an emergency detention. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic disorderly conduct while armed. The suspect was transported to a hospital.
- 1:47pm - Midtown – Fraud: An elderly victim reported she was defrauded of nearly $100,000 over the last several months. Investigation continuing.
- 3:32pm - West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 21-year-old male suspect took his mother's phones. The suspect was arrested and charged with theft, resisting and escape.
- 4:22pm - East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to the men's shelter where security discovered a pistol in the 41-year-old male suspect's belongings. The suspect was arrested and charged with felon in possession of a firearm, CCW violation, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespass.
- 7:08pm - Central – OMVWI: Officers responded with EMS for a 38-year-old male driver who appeared to be unconscious. The suspect was arrested and charged with OWI 2nd, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 11:05pm - North – Traffic Arrest: An officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the 29-year-old male driver was on probation and in possession of THC. Officers conveyed the suspect to jail on the probation hold.
Friday, May 22:
- 1:12am - East – Assist EMS/Fire: Officers responded to a residence where the 36-year-old male suspect from a previous domestic disturbance had ingested a bottle of over-the-counter medication and fled the home. Officers were unsuccessful at locating the suspect and listed him as missing. An ATL was aired.
- 1:45am - Central – OMVWI: An officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the 46-year-old male driver had a revoked DL and did not have a required IID installed. While at the hospital for a blood draw, the suspect fought with officers. The suspect was arrested for OWI 5th, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. The suspect was also cited for numerous traffic violations.
