4222 E. Washington Ave. (BP gas station)


Male, black, mid 30's, 5'6", slightly heavy build, 210 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, baggy black jeans, black shoes, and a black baseball cap.


Female, age 28, Madison


A gas station clerk was punched several times in the head during a Sunday morning robbery at the BP, 4222 E. Washington Ave. The frightened 28-year old victim said the criminal jumped the counter and ordered her to open the cash register. As she was doing so, he delivered the blows. No weapon was seen, but the robber had a hand in a pocket making the victim think he could be armed. He fled on foot with the stolen money. The victim was shaken up but not seriously injured.
