Incident Report for Case #2013-333718

Incident Type

Incident Date

10/23/2013 - 1:40 AM

400 block N. Frances St.

Ryan M. Krafft, age 38, no known address, identity based on U.S. passport.
Suspect was arrested for Graffiti and Disorderly Conduct - 2 counts.

He was caught red-handed with a can or red spray paint in hand.

The MPD was called to the 400 block of N. Frances St. early this morning after a drunken suspect attempted to pick fights with passersby. When officers arrived they found the man standing in front of an apartment building. He apparently was taking a time-out from creating problems on the street to engage in some graffiti.

An officer approached and told him to drop the can. As he was placed in handcuffs, the man uttered: "Dude handed me a spray paint can, so I sprayed the wall." There were two distinct phrases in red, neither of which made sense to the officer: one contained the letter "r," the other appeared to read "TiLLyKKE."

As he was taken to jail, the suspect swore and threatened to fight officers. He was carrying a U.S. passport bearing the name of Ryan M. Krafft. He did tell police that he was from Minnesota, but officers could not immediately find him listed in any law enforcement data bases.

The man was carrying a large amount of cash and a couple of cell phones.
